My Husband and I spent the weekend here and fell in love with this place. It was the first time we had ever stayed in a Bed & Breakfast. The staff was the most helpful and friendliest people. The gourmet breakfast is the best I have ever ate. It is very clean and quiet, great for de-stressing or just relaxing which is what we came for. I highly recommend this place. Thanks to all of you at Stone Fort Inn for making our weekend the best we have ever had.

The Stone Fort Inn was fantastic for a romantice weekend on Valentine’s Day. We had a great time at the inn and found it to be beautiful and Victorian. The decor was exciting with the mixture of antiques and bright colors. We were in a room on the third floor and found it to be most exquisite. We had a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub (which we used), a large queen bedroom, and a huge living room with fireplace. It was warm and cozy on a snowy V-Day weekend. The staff at check-in was informative and helpful. The breakfast on Sunday morning was gourmet and deliciously divine (loved the breakfast casserole). Cleveland, the morning server, was funny and friendly. The chef, I cannot remember his name, was friendly and talented. Edie, co-ower was sweet and nice. James was great, as well. Each night we were there, the inn was booked with other friendly people enjoying a great stay in a fantastic place. Monday morning brought about a sadness, as we did not wish to leave. Breakfast on Monday was super tasty with a stratta and various other delicious creations that fully satisfied the palette. I can honestly say that we WILL return to the Stone Fort Inn, hopefully in July 2010.

Our CPCU Chapter recently had its conferment ceremony and dinner at the Inn. The atmosphere is delightful, the staff exceptional, and the food superb. I heartily recommend that any group considering a dinner contact Edie for the details. An wonderful experience!
This is my favorite place when I come back to Chattanooga. They treat you like a king and queen from the moment you walk in. Love every minute and I always hate to leave. This is one of Chattanooga’s hidden treasures. I give it 5 stars from staff to dining and room decor. First class at its absolute best.

From the perfect location, to the welcoming lobby with Brian right there to welcome us, to the antique furnishings, wood floors with just the right amount of squeak to make us feel at home, to the fabulous beds beckoning us to crawl in to take a welcomed nap, the huge bathrooms with the jetted tubs, the balcony looking out to the life of Chattanooga’s streets, to the warm cookies calling our name each afternoon, the best coffee in town to go with a warm and inviting breakfast each morning, the Stonefort Inn is now our favorite place to stay. Chattanooga is a gem of a city to visit and we are already scouring the calendar for when we can return. Take Brian’s advice and stroll just 2 1/2 blocks to the best dinner ever at Table for 2.

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Stone Fort Inn. The staff was friendly and helpful. They treated us like family. Convenient parking, but we could to dinner each night. Our room was spectacular: four-poster bed with pillowtop mattress, ajoining sitting room, decorated with antiques all around, french shower, large jacuzzi tub, free Wifi, TV’s in both rooms. Wonderful breakfast served in the dining room. Game room and library (grand piano) downstairs off the lobby. Quaint, European style hotel in the heart of Chattanooga, TN!!

Both of us travel on business, and so looked on this business/vacation combo with some expectations of a nicer-than-usual time. We arrived late at the Stone Fort Inn to find Brian waiting for us, all warmth and genuine charm even though it was past 11 p.m. and he had to be back in the kitchen at 7 a.m.
Our high hopes for a wonderful time were quickly surpassed. Besides the delightful and very charming surroundings, we were overwhelmed by the staff’s warmth as well as by Brian’s cooking and Clayton’s impeccable kindness and hospitality. Professionals all! We couldn’t recommend Stone Fort Inn more strongly. Lord willing, we’ll be back. Thanks to all of you, including James and Julie. You all go way above and beyond.

Two years later we still think of Stone Fort Inn. It was our first and only Bed and Breakfast. It was our 25th wedding anniversary and our first vacation without the children. We had so much fun. Ms Edie was there at midnight after the play and she was there at 6:00AM the next morning for breakfast with her sweet smile. It was our first taste of scones. We try every scone we have ever seen since then and none ever measure up to the great taste of Stone Fort Inn’s scones. Everyone was so helpful and we had a great time. We live on the beautiful West coast of Florida, but we will always remember Stone Fort Inn.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay here for a quick weekend trip to the Chattanooga area in May 2009. I was so looking forward to this after reading everything on this website. I was pleasantly surprised when, not only did the Stonefort Inn live up to all of this, but it was even MORE charming than I would have hoped for. For the price, we feel that we got the BEST out of our time there. The food was magnificent, the staff just went out of their way to make us as comfortable as possible. Thanks to all of you for making our time there so wonderful.

What a great place to stay. Me and Lisa travel quite a bit and we both agree that the Stone Fort Inn is a wonderful place. The breakfast is very nice and the staff is the best staff I have ever encountered while traveling.

My wife and I needed a weekend getaway and the Stone Fort Inn was perfect. The room was great, the staff was friendly, and the location was perfectly located near Chattanooga’s downtown. I recommend room 30 to anyone looking for a romantic and relaxing weekend.
Don’t forget the gourmet breakfast…it’s worth getting up for!

Our anniversary weekend at your inn was incredible! It was the perfect weekend get-away! We absolutely loved everything about it! The breakfast Saturday morning we will be talking about for months to come and I am already looking for another “special occassion” so we can come back! The room was perfect and the tubs were just right! On a scale of 1 to 10, you get 100’s across the board! We HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!

My amazing boyfriend surprised me with this place for my 25th birthday. I had no idea we were going here nor had I ever been to a bed and breakfast. I walked into our room in complete awe. The service we received was out of this world. The staff here are awesome! He took me to dinner and when we arrived I came back to a hot bath with rose petals and candles everywhere! This birthday will never be forgettable! We have made a promise to each other to come back every year for my birthday. We might even come a couple of more times before that! Thank you to the staff at the Stone Fort Inn and to my wonderful boyfriend, Justin!

Hello ,I just wanted to thank yall and let you know just how wonderful our stay was ,we were in room number 25 the doggie room it was so beautifull the whole place was just beautiful ..the food and service and the decor was wonderful .. can you plaese email me a picture of the doggie room i want to post it on my space page ,, we will be back and i will tell every one i know how wonderful yall and you place is . again thank you for making our 21st wedding anniversary so wonderful…… if you have any specials or any thing please let me know ,,and i will be back … thank you agian .

What an amazing time! The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the staff is accommodating and informative…everything from beginning to end was absolutely fantastic. Loved the big bathtubs and french showers. I have already told several friends about this little hideaway and two have already made reservations. I can’t wait to come back and relax! Loved, loved, loved it!

OMG! I can not believe how beautiful this place is. My lover brought me here for a late birthday get-a-way. He would not tell me where we were going, so I was a little skeptical about it all. But when we arrived, I found the Inn to be romantic, beautifully decorated and the staff was outstanding! I have mentioned this place to only a few people because I want to keep it a secret.
We left out to get dinner and I returned to a bathroom decorated full of candles with an exquiste fruit and cheese tray awaiting; the next morning, he had our breakfast delivered up to our room so that we could sleep in. It was such a romantic weekend that i’ll never forget. The staff was very helpful and attentive which made our stay even more comfortable.
Hopefully, i’ll be returning this year and the years after for my birthday.
You can’t go wrong with your stay here!

Words can’t describe how much my wife and I enjoyed staying with you Saturday night. The evening and following morning were magical. Stone Fort Inn will be our private get-away close to home. No detail was over-looked, the room was elegant without being uncomfortable. Everything was immaculately clean, and the breakfast was superb. The staff was professional, friendly, and extremely accommodating. Let me finish by quoting my wife “Room 25 is our room, and we’re going back in April, July, oh, and I can’t wait to see how they decorate for the holidays.” Thanks for everything

Thank you for the wonderful weekend! This was an anniversary trip that we will not soon forget! We loved the charm of the place. The room was perfect, the whirlpool tub was so relaxing, and Sunday breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and willing to help make our stay comfortable and fun. This is a great romantic getaway. The Stone Fort Inn definitely exceeded our expectations and we hope to come back soon!

We are not world travelers, but of all the places we have stayed in thirty seven years of traveling together,this is our favorite.It is big enough for privacy yet small enough for intimacy.The suites are roomey yet homey.The decor and music are wonderful.The food is delicious.The staff is unfailingly helpful and pleasant.Rest assured that if we ever return to Chattanooga,we wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else.Thanks for having the vision to pursue your dream that we can share.

This is just a big THANK YOU for providing such a warm and inviting place for us to spend our wedding night. We were so impressed with the attention to every detail of your beautiful Inn.
I’ll admit that I had never heard of a “boutique” style inn before, my ideas were more of a B&B establishment. My husband made the arrangements as a suprise to me and held his breath that I would like it on our first night as husband and wife. All I can say is how very impressed I was with the friendly and accommodating staff from the moment we arrived until we left, our room was gorgeous! (and very cozy), and the continental breakfast the following morning surpassed our expectations and then some. Everything was so fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was absolutely enchanting.
If I’m gushing it could be the newlywed in me, but I have to say that our stay at the Stone Fort Inn was an experience in itself and made our special night one we’ll never forget.
One more thing, the complimentary chocolate chip cookies in the hallway were SO GOOD! What a wonderfully thoughtful thing to offer your guests and just one of the many ways you made us feel so special.
Thank you all again……we hope to visit every year on our anniversary!
